Athirappilly Waterfalls, often referred to as the “Niagara of India,” is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Kerala. Located in the Thrissur district, it cascades from a height of 80 feet, making it the largest waterfall in the state. The waterfall is part of the Chalakudy River and is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a breathtaking view. Athirappilly is a popular destination for nature lovers, photographers, and film enthusiasts, as it has been featured in many Indian movies.

The best time to visit is during the monsoon season when the waterfall is at its fullest. Visitors can enjoy trekking through the surrounding forests, spotting wildlife, and taking in the scenic beauty of the Sholayar ranges.
